Do we experience consciousness as a field, as a network, from outside our selves?

Coming to terms with our fears and discovering what dying has to teach us about life.

Appreciation of our ordinary conscious experience. The illumination that takes place in every present moment, no matter how typical.

The self is just a persistent thought — a whirlwind capable of completely overwhelming consciousness.

The deeper meaning of the Zen Garden for me on that day was not that it is not a garden at all but that I was not an observer.
